About me
Eronie Bazongere Nalongo is an actress who started way back in 1990 while pursuing her O Level Education. She then joined Bakayimbira Dramactors and has had stage appearances in over 20 plays including Silent Voices in 2015, GAad in 2016, The Marriage Chronicles a Kampala International Theatre Festival Production in 2015, The Surrogate and Rope.
Key play credits to her are Berejje, Kigenya Agenya, Bukedde Banyanike, Lubbale Mubbe,Agaali Amakula,Magumba,Ebibala bya Nantongo, Decision Kongolaziga,Bantu bange,Omwana we Kibi(The Bastard),Vanessa and Tito,Bamulazeeki,Akakomo,Batubanja,
Babikusanzawa?, Kiggwa Leero etc and Bakayimbira's Masterpiece play that toured in Sweden at Nykoping Town Theatre and Stratford Old Town Hall in London in 1996.She facilitated a number of traditional dance workshops top among being at the Black History month in Leeds- United Kingdom 2006 as well as performing at the Queen of England's Birthday Celebrations in 2007.
She featured in the film Horizon, Rakai, Atonement and TV series The Hostel, Balikoowa, The Lukkas and apparently in The Kojja, The Hustler a YouTube series. She is a radio drama artist who has worked in Rockpoint 256 and The Pearl.
Eronie Bazongere Nalongo was the winner of the Uganda Theatrical Groups Association Best Actress Award in 1993 in Berejje ,was awarded; a Certificate of Appreciation for her role in Rock Point 256 in 2011 ,a certificate of participation in the Ugandan German workshop of Performing Arts in 2009, and awarded a certificate as a Stage Manager in School Water and Sanitation (SWAS) Club Convention 2019
